It's never too early for
children to start learning music.

Studies show that learning music supports brain growth, movement and communication skills.
Our approach

A message from our founder.

"The early childhood ages of 2-5 are the ideal time for music education, but many schools skip it or offer classes that lack real substance."

Learning by Osmosis

Our Solfege Passive Learning™ (SPL) playlists use a unique, subliminal approach to teach Solfege effortlessly. In addition to singing songs in Solfege, kids absorb musical concepts just by listening—building skills without even realizing they’re learning. This innovative method is unlike anything else out there.
Meet the founder

Sara Duncan

Sara learned Fixed-Do Solfege (Do Re Mi) as a preschooler and developed a unique form of perfect pitch. She became obsessed with improvising and learning music by ear. Studying classical piano rounded out her foundation and set her up for success with other instruments and genres.

Sara moved to Portland, OR after college and founded Keys to Life Music School in 2007. She developed the Seeds of Harmony program a year later when her daughter was a baby.

After 12 years of teaching and refining the curriculum, Sara started an online course with the plan to create a variety show featuring animated characters and puppets to augment the curriculum and bring it to the masses. In 2023 the Seeds of Harmony At-Home Course launched with these additions.

Seeds is supported by an incredible network of talented professionals—illustrators, animators, voice actors, teachers, and audio-video maestros—who bring Sara's vision to life with creativity and precision. Together, they're building a harmonious future for young learners everywhere.
